Wroclaw Wine & Dine is an independent food and wine guide written by people who live in Wroclaw and eat here every week. We accept no sponsorships, no paid placements, and no free meals in exchange for coverage.

Why Wroclaw

Wroclaw has one of the most interesting food scenes in Central Europe — but almost nobody outside Poland knows about it. The city has Michelin-trained chefs cooking modern Polish food with fire and local ingredients, natural wine bars with lists that rival Copenhagen's, and a Silesian culinary tradition that goes back centuries. Most English-language travel content either ignores Wroclaw entirely or reduces it to pierogi and vodka.

We started this guide because the gap between what Wroclaw actually offers and what visitors can find online was too large to ignore. Every restaurant, wine bar, and dish we recommend is a place we've been to ourselves — usually multiple times.

How We Work

Every article on this site is written by a named author with specific expertise. A sommelier writes about wine bars. A food photographer writes about Silesian cuisine. A restaurant reviewer who kept a spreadsheet of 800+ reviews writes about where to eat. You can read about each of our contributors and their backgrounds.

We pay for our own meals. Restaurants don't know we're writing about them. If a place disappoints us, we say so — or we leave it out entirely. We'd rather recommend five genuinely good restaurants than list twenty mediocre ones for the sake of completeness.

What We Cover

Our focus is food and wine in Wroclaw for international visitors. That means restaurant recommendations, wine bar guides, cuisine explainers, and practical information for people who don't speak Polish but want to eat well. We also cover Wroclaw's food culture more broadly — the markets, the neighborhoods, the Silesian traditions that shaped how this city eats.

We don't cover hotels, transportation, or general tourism. There are plenty of guides for that. We do one thing — food and wine — and we try to do it well.

This site carries no advertising. We have no affiliate relationships with restaurants, booking platforms, or wine distributors. No restaurant has paid for inclusion, and no venue can pay for removal. Our recommendations are based entirely on our own experience and judgment.
